Communications Committee

Mission
The Communications Committee’s mission is to enhance all communications across the Church of St. Anne parish in order to promote an enhanced sense of community for parish members and guests. Our focus is on internal and external written and electronic communication.

Accomplishments
There were some high priority requests that the Strategic Planning Commission asked us to look into, namely the office phones and computer systems.

The new phones were installed in April 2006.

The purchase of upgraded Dell systems for each of the staff members were also installed in April 2006.

A follow up letter to visitors who sign our guest book was drafted and is now being sent out from the parish to individuals who provide their mailing address in the guest book.

Current Efforts
Parish members want more current and updated information available on the website.

In addition to the Content Management System, the committee members have also evaluated the look and feel of several other local parishes and made recommendations to the menu structure of our site.

Next Steps
The new Content Management System is up and running and we will be able to work with the staff to help better organize the information that is available and focus once again on our list of action items.

Future Projects
Some of the projects that are listed on our action items list are outlined below. This is not a complete list, nor is this list in order of priority:

  • Newcomer program
  • Information boards in Hardy Hall
  • Suggestion box
  • Ongoing enhancements to the parish website
